Founder Story

Tasliym Abdul-Hamid grew up in the Bronx surrounded by culture, community, and creativity. From an early age, she noticed a quiet humility in her community, a tendency to give endlessly to others while often neglecting themselves. She knew she wanted to change that ideology.

After more than fifteen years in retail management, Tasliym realized it was time to build something that reflected her values. She left the nine to five and founded King Energy Only, a brand dedicated to helping people of color see themselves fully, honor their worth, and embrace confidence in everyday life.

King Energy Only is more than candles and sprays. It is a movement that celebrates self-care and empowerment as essential. Through her work, Tasliym creates products that connect people to their power, their pride, and a community that values presence, purpose, and unapologetic self-expression.
